Akris is a Swiss luxury fashion house founded in 1922, known today for its clean lines, innovative fabrics, and timeless elegance. Still family-run, with Albert Kriemler as Creative Director, Akris blends precision tailoring with modern minimalism—making it a favorite among influential women like Amal Clooney, Angelina Jolie, and Sheryl Sandberg. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and produced in Switzerland, often inspired by contemporary art and architecture, and made to support modern women from day to night with quiet confidence and style.
The brand approached us with a clear mission: to transition their online store from Shopify 1.0 to 2.0, while elevating the overall visual identity, storytelling, and user experience. As a luxury fashion brand, they needed a partner who could balance refined aesthetics with a data-informed approach to eCommerce and conversion optimization. The existing site didn’t fully reflect their creative vision or support a system for introducing more storytelling across their site. Our goal was to bring their digital presence in line with the sophistication of their products.
We delivered a fully reimagined UX/UI design system, rooted in the brand’s creative DNA and optimized for performance, conversion, and visual consistency. The modular system of sections allows for greater content flexibility, while the new design improved clarity across the customer journey—from first impression to checkout. The result is a modern, story-driven storefront that feels premium, performs fast, and empowers the brand team to scale campaigns and product storytelling with ease.
To support the brand’s storytelling aspirations, we introduced content-rich pages that can document and showcase fashion shows, behind-the-scenes moments, and collection narratives. This gives the brand a powerful space to express its creative vision while boosting engagement.
We designed immersive lookbook experiences with full-width imagery and intuitive navigation. Users can explore the collection through a visual-first slider and add products to cart directly from the lookbook, bridging inspiration and conversion in one seamless flow.
To break the monotony of standard grids, we proposed a layout variation that introduces editorial-style images and content blocks into the PLP. This encourages deeper exploration of highlighted categories and creates a more fluid, lifestyle-oriented browsing experience.
We built a scalable navigation system that can handle a wide range of product categories while staying clean and user-friendly. It also includes content slots for banners—giving the team full flexibility to promote upcoming shows, capsule drops, or high-margin collections.
